how many christians have the basic survival gear?
how many christians are prepared, if the dollar is declared as insolovent, the money gets changed, how many can survive 1 week?? aww, just wondering?
i’m guessin that you were not asking about spiritual survival when you posted the question. Survival skills is one of the things I teach people how to do in natural disasters as well as surviving in hostile climates, heat, cold, arthropod infested areas, or other things, of which there are many.
A basic survival gear set is first attitude, secondly, having the skills you need before you need them. Something as simple as starting a fire with a magnifying glass, the bottom of a soft drink can (metal), or a magnesium match are not as easy as you think.
Burning the wrong material for kindling can lead to inhalation poisoning leaving you open to disease or slow death. Eating things you think are safe such as wild pototos can kill you.
Water is a most basic need, but how do you purify it, wood ash? sand, how much? to reduce 99% of the bacteria. What about volital organic chemicals that can pass through a sand filter or have lower evaporation temperatures than water when trying to distill water.
what about food? if it is frozen there is not guarantee you will have power. What about dehyrdated foods, some such as the MRE require at least a quart of water to be drank with the meal. What about canned foods? Bulky and heavy.
For the christian, the basic tool box is the bible. Yet Jesus says to be wise as serpents but gentle as doves. In natural disasters such as the damage to the gulf coast to the horror of the victims, they heard people come out saying “i’m from the government and i’m here to help”…to pour people, you can only hope they were somehow everlooked by the finger pointers and actually got help.
but as a christian, if you have, you need to share with the have nots, and there are more of them than the christians.
the mormons on the otherhand are suppose to have 7 years worth of food ready for the tribulation. that might spare a few of the christians some.
can I survive? ya, but not long, too sick to survive with out the meds I need.
